This album is the soundtrack to a journey to ancient places of mystery and grandeur. I imagined a traveler from classical antiquity who had the opportunity to visit all seven ancients wonders of the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern regions. Each song captures her mood as she witnesses the landscapes, the seascapes, the monuments and their stories. The tales and the creations that will outlive us and cause the future generations to wonder about our lives. Her pilgrimage ends at the city of Alexandria and its spectacular lighthouse. At the outskirts of a city where a library once held all the accumulated knowledge of the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern civilisations we can imagine her gazing at the scenery and contemplating the world within the world that we find ourselves in and what would our descendants think of us. She would have known that thousands of years down the line we would still be wondering about the same things.
